About Us

Pacific Island Knowledge 2 Action Resources (PIK2AR) is an asset-based community organization whose mission is to help Utah’s Pacific Islander communities flourish through providing culturally-relevant resources, opportunities and services to help build alliances, bridge communities, and provide opportunities. PIK2AR, in collaboration with various community partners, is focused on providing support in the following areas:

Economic Impact

Business education, networking opportunities, and other resources are provided via the Salt Lake City Pacific Island Business Alliance, (SLCPIBA). Mentoring partnerships are available to help small business flourish and find success upon entering the business industry. For more information, please click here.

 

Violence Prevention                        

KAVA Talks, (Kommitment Against Violence Altogether) a Pacific Island Male Violence Prevention advocacy group that includes Pacific Island Womens Empowerment Groups. For more information, please click here.

 

Cultural Preservation

PIK2AR is dedicated to preserving culture of ALL Pacific Island heritages. This is done via monthly Utah Pacific Island Heritage events and monthly free screenings through the Utah Pacific Island Film Series. For more information, please click here.
